What’s this blog about, anyway?

Virtually every time I’ve been asked that question I’ve given a different answer.

I recently spoke with a dear long-time friend who happens to be an entertainment lawyer, and he said I should be able to answer the question in two sentences. I’ve been working on those two sentences ever since.

So, how about this:

That world that we think is out there isn’t what we think it is. Furthermore, we are not who we think we are.

As we begin to see through our misunderstandings about these topics, an entirely different way of being human gradually becomes apparent, and we begin to realize what an extraordinary opportunity it is to be alive in this world, in this moment.

I find that I have to constantly remind myself that the voice-over, what has been called the internal dialog, is not interested in this idea, and will actively resist if forced to confront it. It’s called survival.

What do you think? What’s your reaction?
